Jo’s Bio


shapeimage_3Jo’s triathlon career began in 2004 with Sprint and Olympic races, representing GB at the Olympic Distance in 2005 and 2006. Stepping up to long distance, her love of racing saw her gain National (2007), European Ironman (2008) and ETU (2009) age-group championship titles, and 7 Ironman podium finishes (5 wins) between 2007 and 2010.  In 2010 Jo took the oppurtunity offered by redundancy to test herself amongst the Pro ranks on the Ironman circuit.

Whilst racing as a Professional Ironman and Ultra- Triathlon triathlete, Jo has enjoyed success both whilst being trained by triathlon legend Scott Molina, and since 2012 as a self-coached athlete. In 2015 Jo raced her final Ironman in the Pro ranks, and after a short break returns to competiton as age-grouper in the F40 category, qualifying for the 2017 Ironman World (Age-Group) Championships by winning her age group at Ironman Weymouth in September 2016.

This extensive experince of racing across a full range of distances during her own journey from complete beginner to Professional is reflected in her training approach. With a big focus on lifestyle and wellbeing to complement pace, power and heart rate Jo’s guidance helps her clients build towards their target race performances without neglecting the enjoyment factor.

Qualified with BTA level 2 coaching certificate, and ASA level 2 swim teaching award, Jo’s broad experience of training and coaching methods and racing experiences will help you achieve your triathlon goals.
