King Of The Volcanos Camp

Following on from the sucess of last year’s camp – we’re pleased to announce a reapeat of our the King Of The Volcanos Camp in 2020 …the same great format, with a few new features to keep it fresh. 

The basic structure of this camp is cycle-focused, as this is what long distance triathletes most crave at this time of year – a break from cold wet rides and the turbo trainer, and a chance to bag some early pre-season mileage. We will once again have our handicapped bike time trial competition running through the camp, and the ride routes will be organised such that groups arrive together for the KOV time trial early in each day, prior to splitting according to your own pace and distance objectives.

The KOV competiton is complimented by Training Points gained through training time (or distance), with the “King of the Volcanos” jersey awarded to the camp leader, according to the highest numer of total points gained by the end of the final day.  

Daily sea swim sessions and runs, and our long standing traditional mid-week aquathlon race are on offer as parts of this camp – but, though encouraged, these are not compulsory parts of the camp programme. 

Our accommodation will once again be shared (twin) apartments in the Relaxia LanzaPlaya with its convenient proximity to the beach for our sea swims, promenade for running (and ice creams) and the bars and cafes, and simple route out of town on the bikes. The cost for the 2020 camp will be £775. A £250 deposit will secure your place.
